Un giorno a Settimana

Otto ore per volta, fino a Dicembre,
di sette giorni, uno ha le ombre.
Bisogna farlo, così si apprende,

Ma'l futuro è brumo, agl'occhi nostri;
che nusando l'aria, vediam solo mostri.
"State tranquilli", qualcun ci dice;
"il vostro destin non sarà truce".

Non so che dire, e neppure pensare.
Guardando l'aere, c'è da pensar male.
Ma fors'è presto, a pianger dolori,
se sol le voci non son rose e fiori.

La barca è solida, ma il mare è grosso.
Le vele battono, al vento mosso.
Scorgo'l timone, tra mani ferme,
la prua è dritta verso acque calme.
